Angel Way Healing
I use therapeutic and functional movement exercises to facilitate strength, healing and flow back to your body.
I offer private sessions in a serene setting. The sessions are 1 hour, unless specified otherwise.
REIKI
The REIKI sessions will include traditional Reiki following the USUI SHIKI RYOHO method. Essential oils will be used if you are comfortable with their application. Additionally, sound healing with Tibetan singing bowls and crystals will be incorporated. Each session is tailored to the individual.
I had known about Reiki for a while before I decided to become a practitioner. A Pilates client, who happen to be a nurse mentioned that her colleagues had been using Reiki to alleviate stress and anxiety in the operating room, both before and after surgery. A few months later I met my Reiki Master. She was a student in my Awareness through movement class.
Talk about divine timing, I was going through 3 life changing events and the combination of Pilates, Awareness through Movement and Reiki kept me balanced.
Awareness through Movement
Awareness through movement, The Feldenkrais method invented by Dr. Moshe Feldenkrais.
Finally clear instructions and imagery, I found a way to manage my overactive brain. It was ideal; we could lie on the floor and listen with our eyes closed, which was incredibly relaxing. There was no right or wrong way to participate, it is liberating, reminiscent of the freedom I felt dancing as a child.
The essence of freedom in life lies in having a diverse set of tools at your disposal. Many people may not feel fulfilled or healthy if they are stuck in repetitive routines. As we age, some movements or exercises might not be as suitable for our bodies as they were in our youth.

I have served a diverse clientele, including dancers, equestrians, mothers, nurses, therapists, social workers, yoga and Pilates instructors, retirees, and golf enthusiasts. My experience also extends to working with various injuries and rehabilitating my own, utilizing a blend of Reiki, Awareness Through Movement, and Pilates. While these practices are not a substitute for medical care, they have facilitated healing in my body and millions of other people and animals. Yes, Reiki and the Feldenkrais method can help heal your pets too.
Through years of exploring different healing and movement modalities, I have enriched my ability to support clients on their wellness journeys.
"Movement is life, and life is a process. Improve the quality of the process, and you improve the quality of life itself."
Moshe Feldenkrais, D.Sc.
PILATES
Pilates offers a comprehensive full body workout in just 45 minutes, targeting your core, including the abdominals, back, buttocks, and thighs. It combines strength training, flexibility, coordination, and balance. Pilates is one of the first exercise methods, other than yoga and the Feldenkrais method to incorporate breathwork.
Joseph Pilates had asthma as a child, which is why Breathwork is one of the main principles of his method.
Awareness through Movement
(The Feldenkrais Method)
This class can be described as meditative movement. The gentle movements and pauses foster novel ways for the body to move. Sometimes, injuries or aging can disrupt or slow these signals. This technique helps recalibrate the brain-body connection through learning new movement patterns. It's particularly beneficial for individuals recovering from injuries, illnesses, Arthritis, stroke.
Dr. Moshe Feldenkrais, the creator, was a renowned scientist and physicist.
FUNCTIONAL INTERGRATION
A private Feldenkrais session is conducted on a low table, where the practitioner guides the student through subtle, gentle movements for therapeutic body realignment. Students often describe the experience as resembling a slow, intentional dance. This method aims to regulate and harmonize the body by engaging the nervous system in a way other movement techniques do not acknowledge.
